Introduction A. Police corruption Police corruption has become an international problem. This was initially a common practice during the period when the police institutions were being developed but the effect has been felt by many people, even affecting peacekeeping operations. The police abuse and corruption has become endemic in the U.S making many citizens seek help from other organization. The U.S. Supreme Court on the court case this is the case of 2009 where the Supreme Court agreed that this had been against the sixth amendment right of confrontation for anyone who is under suspicion to be given a chemical drug test report and not having a testimony of the person who is carrying out the test. In spite of the ruling that such practices were not allowed by the constitution, it also rules out that the â€Å"notice-on-demand† statues were in line with the constitution. The state was not in a position of violating the constitution by this statue by notifying the defendant that the prosecution was able to submit a test even though they didn’t have a testimony from the person who carried it out, as it will also give the defendant enough time to object the results. 2. Forensics examiners that violated the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution Because of the case, the court came up with a clean distinction between the confrontation and compulsory clauses. Even though the sixth amendment ranted Melendez-Diaz got a permit to be able to call the forensic expert and have them as a witness. Instead, this would somehow reduce the trouble of having more witnesses on the side of the defendant as opposed to the prosecution side. The advertisement I have chosen to analyze is a Budweiser print ad. The ad itself has no text besides the writing on the label of the beer, so the argument is found in only the picture presented. In the picture, you see only the body of the beer bottle with a woman leaning against it. She is in a skin-tight one-piece outfit that continues the label on the bottle where she is leaning. I believe this ad is extremely harmful to society in many different aspects including the way it associates drinking alcohol with sex and both sexualizes and objectifies the woman in the advertisement. The assumed audience for this advertisement is men. The ad relates the beer to what is culturally accepted as an attractive woman, in revealing clothes, in what one might consider a seductive position and the central color in this advertisement is red. In fact, the entire subject of the picture is set to the left side, leaving half the picture simply red. Red is a color that is often used to express passio n and sex. It is a bright color that catches your eye. Along with the background, the woman’s lips, the outer part of the beer label, and also the part of the label that covers one of her breasts are also red. These things pop out at you and draw your attention. Therefore, the message that is being sent out is that drinking a Budweiser beer will help someone get attractive women. Brother of Sleep is presented in a very romantic and musical style. It focuses on Elias who was born a musical genius. He does not only have a musical talent but also has an unbelievable gift to see and feel things beyond the usual. He decided not to sleep which he considers the best way to end his life. Only age 22 when he died, the main character was a victim of himself and his environment. I think that the plot of the story is unique and at the same time very rich in morals. It was a very vivid way of presenting audiences with dilemmas which normally arise in people with talents who wish to do other things that they love. It was a sort of eye-opener for many who have watched. Moreover, I think the creation of the film is very artistic because of the incorporation of music, which is very relevant to the plot, as well as the use of twists and humors in the story.
